IHS Cyber Academy Students in grades 7-12: We are beginning to schedule for next year's classes. We will be posting information in the announcements on VLN regarding scheduling in person classes for the 2021-22 school year. We will plan on all cyber students returning to the building for in person learning in the Fall of 2021 unless parents indicate otherwise. IHS Summer Programming ThoughtExchange
Each summer, Iroquois Junior/Senior High School offers various summer programs for students to engage in learning opportunities and credit recovery. As summer quickly approaches, we would like your input in order to meet our students’ academic and social-emotional needs. STEM - Attention 6th grade girls! Wabtec Girls, sponsored by the Wabtec corporation in collaboration with Penn State Behrend, is offering a free, weeklong, virtual STEM camp where girls will participate in a daily STEM activity from July 19-July 23. Students (and parents) in grades 8-12 are invited to a virtual Entrepreneurship Career Information Session. Hear from successful entrepreneurs whose business ventures include drone technology in agriculture, early internet, glass recycling, real estate investments, specialized crayons, and more! 7th and 8th grade students will be taking the PSSA exams in the morning of the following dates:
ELA: April 20-22, Math: April 26-27, Science (8th grade only): April 28-29.
Iroquois Cyber Academy students in grades 7 & 8 will be taking the exams at that time as well. Please make every effort in having your student attend school on those dates. More information will be coming home in the following weeks.
COVID -On Thursday, March 11, 2021, we were informed of a probable COVID-19 case impacting Iroquois Jr./Sr. High School and our track team. The Iroquois School District has followed the health and safety plan in accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Pennsylvania Department of Health. 11th Grade Elite Brave: Kyle Eddinger
I love the community we have in our school. Our school is small enough that everyone knows each other. I think that plays a big role is our #1 Family motto.
Future Aspirations: My future aspirations are to go into the Pennsylvania National Guard while takes college courses to work my way up to a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking.
What teacher has made the most impact on you and why?
The teacher that has had the most impact on me has been Mrs. Nuhfer. She was an amazing teacher and opened my eyes to a lot of different areas of the English subject. She made learning fun and enjoyable, and overall was a joy to be around.

Future Aspirations: I plan to go to college and major in biology. Then, I would like to go to medical school to become a doctor.

This year, the teacher that has made the most impact has been Mrs. Tobin because she is always willing to answer your questions no matter how many you have. She is also really good at explaining how the complex processes in biology work.

What do you love about Iroquois? I love that most of the teachers here are funny and nice and they try to help you as well as they can. And I like hanging out with my friends.
Future aspirations: When I graduate I hope to attend Penn State University Park and then get a job that I love to do.
What teacher has made the most impact on you and why? Mr. Cadden (6th grade ELA, and history). I always enjoyed going to Mr. Cadden's class because it was a fun stress free environment.

Congratulations to our March Elite Braves! Elite Braves demonstrate excellent behavior in and out of the classroom, are well mannered, and respectful to both peers and teachers. These students have been selected by teachers, administrators, and guidance counselors for being exemplary.
