In addition to homecoming, PYD is hosting our 6th annual Dare to Scare Zombie Run this Saturday, October 22.
This fun event helps raise awareness to SCARE drugs out of our community. Please consider dressing up like a Zombie to either participate in this fun 1 mile loop through Elbow Tree Park, or volunteer in another capacity! Registrations starts at 10:00 am at Iroquois Elementary School with the 1 mile walk/run beginning at 11:00 am! Registration forms for participation are available in the front office of each building.
This is Homecoming Week! There is a bonfire on Thursday night at 6pm at the high school. All are welcome to attend! We will have our homecoming assembly on Friday, October 21st at 2pm to recognize our homecoming court. The homecoming parade is on Friday at 5pm and the homecoming king and queen will be announced at halftime of the football game. Lastly, our homecoming dance is Saturday, October 22nd at 7pm at the high school.

What do you love about Iroquois? The thing I love about Iroquois is that it is such a safe school, and the teachers are there for you whenever you need help.
Future Aspirations: My future aspirations is that I want to be a teacher when I grow up. I hope to go to college at Penn State Behrend.

Mrs. Nuhfer has really made ELA not confusing. She explains everything super well and helps you with anything you do not understand.

Staff shout out!!! Our fluency passage this week is called “Pirates at Sea.” Mrs. Hayes, who also works on Scallywags Pirate Ship, dressed up in pirate garb and read our passage like a pirate. It was so fun!

Andrew Hatton will tee off at 9:30 this morning in round 2 of the District 10 AA Individual Golf Championships. Andrew finished round 1 with an 83 (+11) and in a tee for 10th. Only the top 8 will advance to the AA State playoffs. Andrew is only 3 shots back from that 8th place. Good Luck today Andrew!
Iroquois 5th and 6th grade girls basketball team got win number 2 last night at Cambridge Springs. The girls have been putting in the time, practicing almost 5 days a week. Keep up the hard work, GO Young Lady Braves!!
