Mrs. Flagg does it again! She is the school's Queen Bee for the month of November. Mrs. Flagg has given out the most Bees in October to her students and gets to keep her title. Mrs. Tombaugh is our Princess Bee for recognizing the highest number of students for their Bee Behavior as a non-homeroom staff. Be Safe. Be Kind. Be Responsible.

Each grade level adopted another grade level to spread kindness in our building during Red Ribbon Week. Third grade students were delighted to receive special decorations from Kindergarten students and the Kindergarten students loved the letters they received from their third grade friends!

Good morning, IES families! The school year is underway, and we are off to a great start! Teachers have been working hard to get to know each and every student in their classrooms, while maintaining a safe learning environment. Parent/teacher conferences are an opportunity for teachers to share your child’s academic strengths and discuss his/her social progress. This year you will have the option for either a phone conference or a Zoom conference with your child’s teacher on Thursday, November 5, 2020. We will not be conducting any in-person conferences. We are using an online system, PTCFast, for scheduling the 1st semester conferences this year, which makes sign-ups as convenient as possible. When signing up, please list either phone conference or Zoom meeting in the space provided. Please visit the following website to register for a conference time: https://ptcfast.com/schools/IES If you do not have internet access, or need help with the sign-up process, please contact us via phone at 814-899-7643 x2000 to set up your conference. Thank you!

Iroquois School District is committed to providing access to nutritious meals to school students, and recent USDA waivers allow the district to continue to provide meals to students in person and via cyber learning seven days a week. All elementary students will be coming home today with a large bag of food. This food is perishable, so please make sure it makes its way out of book bags and into the refrigerator. Have a great weekend!

Good morning families! This year our classroom holiday parties will look different due to the fact we are unable to have volunteers in our classrooms. However, students will still have the opportunity to celebrate because the teachers and staff at Iroquois Elementary School will be planning and running the holiday parties! All party activities will allow for students to stay in their classroom and remain socially distant. These parties will include school provided activities and treats. Please refrain from sending in candy, goodie bags and/or other items. We ask that if you would like to contribute to the parties, and are able to, please send in $3 to your child’s classroom to help cover the cost of the holiday parties. If you would prefer only donating to the Halloween party at this time, please send in $1 by Friday, October 23rd. In addition, our Halloween Parade will be virtual this year! Students are encouraged to come to school in costume. Photographs of students will be taken, and a virtual parade will be created and released to teachers and families to view. If you have any questions or concerns reach out to the IES office at 814-899-7643 x 2000. Thank you!

Hello Iroquois families! Our Fall Fundraiser is about to begin and we are very excited about this year’s program! Your student will be bringing home a fundraising packet tomorrow, Friday, October 2, 2020. Participating has NEVER been easier with our “Hybrid” process. In addition to our traditional way of fundraising - taking brochures around to friends, family and co-workers, filling out order forms and collecting money - you can also help people support the sale ALL ONLINE ! All you have to do is share - share - share the information from the packet you receive in school. Emails, text messages, social media, the ways are “virtually” endless in getting the information out to supporters and make this the BEST fundraising year ever!! If you don't receive a packet tomorrow OR you misplace it? No worries! Contact the school for more information. The sale begins tomorrow, October 2, and ends October 19. Ship to School items and Prizes will be delivered November 12. Please contact support@bestresultsfundaising.com for help in registering or for questions. Thank you!
