Good evening families! As the weather turns colder and snowier, please remember to send students to school with coats, boots, hats, and gloves. One of the parameters for outside recess includes a real feel temperature above 25 degrees. Students will continue to go outside for recess as long as the weather conditions allow it. Thank you!

Good morning families of the Coolest School in Erie! We are excited to announce that we've won the How Cool is Your School competition! In addition, I wanted to remind families that Thanksgiving break begins on Thursday, November 26. School will be in session on Wednesday, November 25 and classes will resume on Tuesday, December 1. Good Morning ISD families! The elementary school will be hosting a Title 1 Parent Meeting on Thursday, November 19th at 6PM via Zoom. Topics for this parent meeting include remote learning support, Schoology help, and review of the Title 1 Parent Compact. A link for the Zoom meeting will be posted on the IES website on Thursday prior to the meeting. Hope to "see" everyone there!

Hello Iroquois Families! Our fundraiser has arrived! It will be available for pickup on Thursday, November 12 from 3:45 pm until 6:00 pm. Please pull into the bus loop on Tyndall Avenue and stay in your car. A staff member will come out to your car and ask which order you are picking up, and then they will then bring it out to your car. Thank you so much for supporting Iroquois Elementary School!

Mrs. Flagg does it again! She is the school's Queen Bee for the month of November. Mrs. Flagg has given out the most Bees in October to her students and gets to keep her title. Each grade level adopted another grade level to spread kindness in our building during Red Ribbon Week. Third grade students were delighted to receive special decorations from Kindergarten students and the Kindergarten students loved the letters they received from their third grade friends!

Teachers have been working hard to get to know each and every student in their classrooms, while maintaining a safe learning environment. Parent/teacher conferences are an opportunity for teachers to share your child’s academic strengths and discuss his/her social progress. This year you will have the option for either a phone conference or a Zoom conference with your child’s teacher on Thursday, November 5, 2020. We will not be conducting any in-person conferences. We are using an online system, PTCFast, for scheduling the 1st semester conferences this year, which makes sign-ups as convenient as possible. When signing up, please list either phone conference or Zoom meeting in the space provided.
