Iroquois Elementary School is excited to announce our upcoming Homecoming Spirit Week, running from September 16-20. We've planned a fun-filled week of themed days to showcase our school spirit. Kicking off on Monday, we'll celebrate with Class Colors Day, where each grade wears their designated hue - from purple for Pre-K and Kindergarten to yellow for 5th grade. Tuesday brings Camo Day, perfect for blending in while standing out. Midweek, we'll see a mix of styles with Comfy vs. Fancy Day on Wednesday. As we near the end of the week, Thursday will transport us to tropical vibes with Hawaiian Day. Finally, we'll close out the festivities on Friday with Black & Yellow Day, uniting the entire school in our proud Iroquois colors. This Homecoming Spirit Week promises to be a memorable celebration of our school community. We encourage all students to participate and show their Iroquois pride throughout the week. Go Braves!

Good Morning IES parents: We have had a great first week of school, so thank you all for such a wonderful start to the year! As a reminder, there is no school on Monday, September 2 due to Labor Day and Tuesday, September 3 is IES picture day, so make sure to bring your best smiles. At IES, students have been learning what it means to be a leader with Leader in Me; make sure to ask them what it means to be proactive, begin with the end in mind, and put first things first. We can't wait for another amazing week next week!

From Coach DeSantis: Attention parents of 4th, 5th, and 6th grade girls who are interested in playing basketball. There will be a parent meeting tonight at 5:15 in the IES gym! He's hoping to see you there if your child is interested!

Good afternoon IES families! We had a GREAT first day of school here at IES! As a reminder, dismissal on the first day of school can sometimes be delayed so as to ensure that our students get home safely. Please know that, at times, the busses are a bit delayed so that each child is checked prior to getting off at the bus stop. Thank you in advance for your patience.

Good afternoon IES Families! We look forward to seeing our students and their smiling faces tomorrow morning on the first day of school! To make our dismissal process safer, IES will implement new procedures for car riders (all grades) and walkers (grades Pre-k through 1st). Within the first few days of school, the mentioned groups of students will receive several numbered (by family) dismissal tags. The parent, guardian, or designee must present the matching tag before the student's release from school. This will help us ensure that all students are leaving safely at the end of the day. Please be aware that this may cause a slight delay in dismissal during the first few weeks of school as we adjust to the new procedure. If you have any questions please call the IES main office at 814 899-7643 ext 2000.
