WHY YOU SHOULD WASH HANDS WITH SOAP FOR 20 SECONDS

A U.S. biophysicist recently shared the following information:

The coronavirus is surrounded by a fat layer. Washing your hands with soap and water has the ability to "dissolve" this greasy fatty layer and kill the virus. Soaps and detergents can dissolve grease, so they can also dissolve the outer protective layer of the virus. So washing your hands achieves 2 goals: 1) removing dirt and germs, and, 2) dissolves and disrupts the greasy outer layer of the enveloped virus, and kills them. Singing "Happy Birthday" twice is approximately how long we should all be scrubbing our hands with soap.

So please take the recommendation to wash your hands frequently more seriously. Wash your hands every time you touch a surface or have been in a possible contaminated environment. Do not touch your face - your eyes, nose and mouth.

Stay safe!
