
The Pennsylvania Department of Education, Division
of Federal Programs has designated Iroquois Elementary School as a Title I
Distinguished School (High Progress) for the 2018-2019 school year. This is the
second year in a row IES has earned this statewide recognition. IES is being
honored for being in the Highest 5% of all Title I Schools based on ELA and
Math growth as measured by the Pennsylvania Value-Added System (PVASS). IES is
one of 158 schools to be awarded this designation. IES will be honored at the
2019 Title I Improving Schools’ Performance Conference, on January 14, 2019 in
Pittsburgh, PA.
The Iroquois School Board of Directors and Mr.
Murray would like to congratulate our students, parents, faculty and staff for
their efforts, which have led us to being awarded this designation. Iroquois Elementary School continues to be a
“Small school with big pride.”
